

Respond to emergency calls from bus drivers on extra-curricular trips after regular duty hours.Assist in formulation of updating and revising routes proposed to improve transportation service.Make regular inspections of buses for cleanliness and possible vandalism.

Assume the responsibilities of coordinating all bus driver and/or student driver problems with the Director of Transportation.Assist in handling calls from parents and school administrators that have concerns with transportation.Assume responsibility to review Absence from Duty/Missed Punch forms for Payroll.Assist in scheduling buses and drivers on both regular and special education routes.(The following statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions that may be assigned or skills that may be required.) Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a bus driver preferred.Ability to be trained in the Transportation Computer Routing System (Transfinder).Ability to supervise and with Transportation personnel.Knowledge of computer skills, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check.Obtain the Texas Association for Pupil Services official certificate.Clear driving record and criminal record as required by Texas Education Agency.Possess current Texas Commercial Driver’s License (Class B).Possess current Texas School Bus Driver Certification, and/or be enrolled in the next available class.Assumes the duties and responsibilities as related to managing employee's daily issues, oversight of employee work crews, parent and school administration concerns, and assists the Manager of Operations in coordinating and assigning routes
